In history, Rashid Akhter Nadvi’s favorite subject was the History of Islam, its traditions and culture. Due to this deep love and passion for Islamic history he followed in the foot steps of Abdul Haleem Sharar and started writing historical novels. The notable difference with other authors was that while others gave more importance to tragedy which was one of the most saleable tools of those novels, Rashid Akhter Nadvi focused on the heroes and their heroic deeds from the glorious period of Islamic history to be role models for coming generations.

His historical novels are a projection of the glorious era of Islam.
